We specialize in single spring mechanical pump shaft seals for rotary / centrifugal pump applications. It’s easy to replace your pump seals if you know what they are.

Available in a full range of styles and materials, our spiral wound gaskets are manufactured in accordance with ASME B16.20 for use in all industry flanges, including ASME/ANSI B16.5, ASME B 16.47, Series A & B.

American Seal & Packing assures strict adherence to these specifications as routine inspection procedures are applied throughout the manufacturing process. In addition, we maintain trace ability of all materials used in our gasket construction to provide material certifications as required.

Tadpole tapes custom manufactured to a variety of configurations to meet varied service conditions.

Our tadpole tapes are resilient, non-absorbent gasketing tapes formed by wrapping heat-resistant cores with specially treated cover materials.

Edges are stitched or cemented together forming the tail structure.

Injectable packings are easy to install. The initial installation of injectable packing materials is done by hand.

Tightening the gland nut compresses the packing and forces it to conform to any irregular spaces caused by wear.

Are Exceptional in Chemical Applications, Cyrogenic applications, Clean service (FDA) applications. Because PTFE has the lowest coeffiecient of friction, it lowers stem drag allowing valves to turn easier.

If your looking for a less expensive option we also offer other materials such as Nitrle, Viton, Neoprene, Grafoil

Services

Repaired seals can also be upgraded by replacing Carbon faces with Silicon or Tungsten Carbide for much less than upgrading to a new seal.

American Seal & Packing supplies die formed packings pre-cut and pre-densified, sized to your dimensions. This allows the sets to be installed faster and to seat better.

Lubricants with (PTFE) Resin

This line of exceptional lubricating products with PTFE helps our seals run longer and smoother. 

Tapes thicknesses available include: 1/32″, 1/16″, 1/8″ and 1/4″ Specify bolt hole or regular tape type, and width required.

Cuts Gaskets of all types, Including: PTFE, compressed non-asbestos, vegetable fiber, beater add, cork, and various rubbers – Nitrile, Buna-N, SBR, EPDM, Viton®, FKM, Hypalon, Aflas®, natural rubber, closed cell, open cell, Neoprene, GRAFOIL® Flexible Graphite and other “soft goods”.
